Gum had a tough time during the Spring with the shut downs. Foot traffic and lack of social interaction led to declines in both gum and mints.

With more opening now though, the category is coming back so do not give up on this segment of Confection. Gum is highly profitable, an incremental purchase and one of the top desired items at checkouts. Look at new pack sizes–mega packets and pocket packs are important on the set. Bottle packs also remain strong in the gum category.
