Meat Snacks grew +14% last year, which was the fastest growing snack category in convenience stores1. 2020’s growth accelerated last May, as the shelter at home orders ended. Consumers took shorter trips than previous years, and meat snacks are the perfect road trip snack for vacations, camping and visiting friends. Incredibly, Meat Snacks have grown an astounding +25% in 20212. This year, all segments (especially jerky and sticks) and sizes (from small to extra-large) have grown more than 20%!

New items are also fueling the growth. Takis sticks by Cattleman’s Cut are the top selling new Meat Snack items. Takis is one of the (literally) hottest brands, especially with Gen Z and Latinx consumers.
